Our values
We are dedicated to protecting our natural world and its wildlife by offering unforgettable experiences that allow our guests to witness its beauty firsthand. Through meaningful encounters and education, we aim to inspire conscious choices that help preserve our oceans and wildlife. Our goal is to leave every guest not only with lasting memories but also with a renewed sense of connection and a desire to share that passion for conservation with others.
Meet our captains
Owner & Captain Tanya
Captain Tanya has been running Wildlife & Glacier tours out of Seward, Alaska for over 15 years. After spending her first summer as a deckhand in Seward in 2003, she was hooked and has returned every season since. “There’s no way to describe the raw wild beauty of this place but one thing is for certain, it will draw you in. The only way to truly feel or appreciate it, is to come see it for yourself.”
Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Tanya did not grow up around boats and actually graduated with a BS in Business Administration. Shortly after graduating and trying out the corporate world, she traveled to Maui “just for a visit” and then started crewing on a whale watching boat. This was the beginning of a new journey. Tanya has always had a true passion for all animals and species of wildlife but this is where she also discovered her passion for boats and the sea.
In her spare time, she most enjoys exploring the Alaskan outdoors with her pup Cooper; hiking, fishing, camping, and of course boating! In the off season, you’ll most likely find her driving whale watching boats in Maui, working up in the Arctic (providing her the privilege of seeing polar bears in the wild), or volunteering in Africa working with a rescue, rehabilitation, and release organization caring for orphaned baby elephants.
Captain Lacey
Captain Lacey has been living on Maui for the past 21 years. She originally moved to Hawaii for the surf and then never looked back. In Lacey’s words ~ “Maui is actually where I met Tanya and when she asked me to come work with her for Seacor Tours, I was ecstatic. Now I basically migrate with the humpback whales between Maui and Alaska. The 2026 season will be my 6th up in Alaska, and I look forward to it every year.
In my off time, I’m all about being outside—whether it’s hiking, backpacking, free diving, snowboarding, or camping out somewhere off the grid. If I’m not in the ocean or the mountains, I’m probably off traveling during the off-season, exploring different countries and getting into whatever adventure comes my way. I’m happiest when I’m out in the bushes, hanging out with dogs, moving with the seasons, and living close to nature.”
Our Boat
Our vessel, the Outright, is a 47’ x 15′ aluminum catamaran and is U.S. Coast Guard certified to carry 30 passengers. We limit it to 22-24 passengers on our small group tours to maximize your space and comfort. If you would like to book a private charter with us, we can carry up to 30 passengers.
There is plenty of seating inside our spacious/heated cabin and we also have a very large outside viewing area with bench seating on deck as well. And of course there is a bathroom, also known as a marine head, on board. The Outright is powered with quad 300hp outboards, allowing us plenty of speed to get to all of the best viewing areas!
